Rabbit Schott

Kenneth R. "Rabbit" Schott age 72, of Caldwell passed away Saturday Morning, April 28, 2012 at the Summit Acres Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell, where he had been a resident for several years. He was born March 17th, 1940 in Noble County, OH a son of the late Elmer and Clara Hupp Schott. Kenneth was a member of St. Mary's of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda, OH. He drove concrete truck for Caldwell Redi Mix for many years. He loved hunting, especially for turtles and always enjoyed playing cards. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 2 Sons Kenneth R. Schott Jr. and James Gerald Schott; Granddaughter Elexis "Lexi" Emily Bender; 1 Brother Richard Schott. He will be missed by his family 2 Daughters Joan (Steve) Bettinger of Caldwell, OH and Barb (Jerry) Rayner of Cumberland, OH; 1 Son Mark E. Schott of Ava, OH; 4 Grandchildren Kimberly Bettinger, David Bettinger, Jessica Crum and Alisa Rayner; 6 Great-Grandchildren Timmothy Lamp, Hayden Bettinger, Anna Crum, Cody Crum, Caleb Crum and Gerald Ray; 1 Sister Kathleen (Frank) Thomas of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Monday, April 30th, 2012 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Father Wayne Morris and Pastor Jim Garrett Co-Officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Fulda. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation, 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive, Suite 260, Columbus, OH 43231-8617.
