Pastor Richard Alva Dair

Pastor Richard Alva Dair age 68, of Senecaville, OH passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 27, 1950 in Chillicothe, OH a son of the late Alva Dair and Winnie Mae Hurles Dair.

Richard served and protected his nation in the United States Navy. He was retired as the Pastor of the Cambridge Community Church. He was an active member of the Byesville Rotary Club for many years. He was an artist involved in many murals and paintings around the area. He also enjoyed writing and was a member of the Cambridge Writers Workshop, writing short stories about the area.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers-in-law Joe Lane and Blaine Richardson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Barbara Lamson Dair, whom he married June 11, 1982; 2 children Stefanie Dair of Senecaville and Matthew (Ariel) Dair of Marietta, OH; grandson Joey; 2 sisters Henrietta Lane and Barbara Richardson both of Frankfort, OH; close friend and "adopted sister" Sandy (Tom) Winnett of Cambridge. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation will be observed and a memorial service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Frankfort United Methodist Church, 30 Church Street, Frankfort, OH 45628, with Pastor Neil Foster officiating.
