Norma Louise Wiggins

Norma Louise Wiggins age 85, of Cambridge, Ohio passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born May 1, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio a daughter of the late William A. and Gladys Palmer Dougherty.

Norma loved feeding and watching her hummingbirds. She enjoyed fishing and traveling, however her true passion was her work in the many Veteran Auxiliary organizations of which she volunteered. She was a past Commander of the DAV Guernsey Chapter #28 Auxiliary and Past State Commander of the DAV Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Ancient Order of the Kentucky Colonels. Norma will always be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son Daniel K. Wiggins Jr.; a great-grandchild Taylor Ann Conrad; brother Eugene A. Daugherty and sister Eileen Hackney.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her husband of 71 years Daniel K. Wiggins Sr., whom she married December 31, 1945; 4 daughters Connie Reynolds of Pleasant City, Linda S. (Danny) Wheeler of Pleasant City, Deborah A. (Donald) Campbell of Byesville, and Kimberly J. (Steve) Haught of Byesville; 1 son Michael D. (Karen) Wiggins of Pleasant City; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends and fellow auxiliary members.

Cremation will be observed and the family will receive friends for a memorial visitation Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a memorial service to be held at 5:00 pm with the Honorable Judge David A. Ellwood officiating.
