Nancy Jo Clark

Nancy Jo Cox Clark age 87, of Caldwell, OH went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 12, 1937 in Clarksburg, WV a daughter of the late Faye Johnson Cox and William Calvin Cox.

She was a member of The Caldwell Church of Christ, Cumberland St., Caldwell. Nancy was a member of The Eastern Stars. She spent many years as a 4-H Advisor. Nancy was an amazing Quilter and has sold many quilts through the years that are all over the United States. These have become priceless heirlooms to her family.

Nancy managed the laundromat in Caldwell for many years, making many friends and helping several people. She worked in many factories through the years including Gould Clevite. She worked tirelessly to raise her family and tend to her husband after he suffered an accident at work.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband James "Jim" Richard Clark Sr. whom she married June 6, 1954 and who passed away on August 24, 2022; son-in-law Merron Due. Nancy was the youngest of 22 siblings, all of which are now deceased. She had 16 brothers and 5 sisters. They were a proud and patriotic family with 15 brothers serving in the military during war times. One of her proudest moments came when the State of West Virginia named a bridge in honor of her brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters Betty Jo Due of Lubbock, TX, Debra Kay Clark of Caldwell, and son James Richard (Teresa) Clark Jr. of Caldwell. She also leaves 8 grandchildren and their spouses; 13 great-grandchildren. Along with several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

The family wishes to extend a thank you to Absolute Hospice of Caldwell caregivers Beth, Jaden, Jennifer, and Rhonda.

The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Following the funeral service, she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Jim in Olive Cemetery in Caldwell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancys honor to the Warriors Set Free, 700 36th Street SE, Ste 108, Grand Rapids, MI 49548.
