Myron L. Hannahs

Myron L. 'Bunt' Hannahs age 86, of Akron, OH formerly of Buffalo, OH passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center in Akron. He was born March 7, 1933 in Calais, OH a son of the late Forrest L. and Mae Carpenter Hannahs. He was a member of the Buffalo VFW Post #8040 and a lifetime member of the Ravenna Elks #1076. He was a construction supervisor for many years with the Umbaugh Pole Building Co. He enjoyed hunting and playing cards in his free time. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Gary Hannahs; grandson Lee Hannahs; 9 siblings Gerald Hannahs, Myrle Lyons, Roy Hannahs, Ruthe Craig, Gus Hannahs, Midge Loukas, Fred Hannahs, Herm Hannahs, and Toby Hannahs. Those left to cherish his memory are a daughter Lisa (Dale Holler) Hannahs of Akron; 2 sons Myron (Mary Jane) Hannahs and Tony Hannahs all of Ravenna, OH; daughter-in-law Gayle Hannahs of Washington State; grandchildren Jessica (Jeremy) Marsh, Megan (Andrew) Cohen, Jennifer (Michael) Pope, Gary (Amy) Hannahs, Elizabeth Hannahs, Sean Hannahs, and Logan Holler; 6 great-grandchildren; the mother of his children Agatha Schell of Akron. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, June 21, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Calais Cemetery.
