Michael Carpenter

Michael S. Carpenter, age 47, of Caldwell died Wednesday morning (Sept. 28, 2005) at his residence in Caldwell. Michael was born June 17, 1958 in Killeen, TX the son of Patricia D. Garrett and Stanley R. Carpenter. Michael was a 1976 Graduate of Skyvue High School and an employee of Detroit Diesel of Cambridge. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the United States Practical Shooting Association and a Lifetime Member of the National Rifle Association. He was an avid sports shooter. Preceding him in death are infant brother Raymond Laverne Carpenter. Maternal Grandparents Herman and Wineva Reed Farson, Paternal Grandparents John and Mary Orange Carpenter. Surviving are his wife Jennifer "Jennie" L. Carpenter of the home whom he married June 15, 1991. Parents Patricia D. Garrett of Caldwell and Stanley R. (Deborah A.) Carpenter of Stafford. Two brothers David D. (Sara) Carpenter of Caldwell, John W. (Jessica) Carpenter of Stafford. One sister Rebecca M. (Forrest) Frank of Findlay, OH. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. The family suggests donations be made to the National Rifle Association of America, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030 or the Hospice of Guernsey, P.O. Box # 1165, Cambridge, OH 43725. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home until Friday afternoon to be taken to the graveside. Graveside services will be held Saturday (Oct. 1, 2005) at 2:00 pm at the Stafford Cemetery in Stafford, Ohio with Pastor Tom Scott Officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted.
