Martha L. Parrish

Martha King Parrish age 92, of Caldwell passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009 at her residence. She was born January 24th, 1917 in Noble County, Ohio a daughter of the late Oscar and Nora Cain King. Martha was a Member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church, Honorary member of the Caldwell FFA, Sharon Grange, Ohio Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association Auxiliary. She was a member and officer of the Methodist Women's Organization and Circle 1, member of the Noble County Farm Bureau, former 4-H Club Advisor and Member of the Freeport Chapter #319 O.E.S. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph E. Parrish, whom she married August 24, 1938; 2 Brothers Lawrence King and Glenn King; 3 Sisters Florence King Barnhouse, Edna King Davis and Marylois King Colley. Surviving are Four Daughters Sandra (Bill) Eardley of Key West, FL, Sally (Tom) Cornett of Cumberland, KY, Jody Parrish Polen of Caldwell and Kristi (Ron) Close of Caldwell; Eight Grandchildren Amy (Jeremy) Wheeler, Adam (Tab) Schafer, Ashley Schafer, Crystal (Chris) Alcorn, Joseph Cornett, Sarah (Mark) Saylor, Stephanie (Jason) Reed and Rhea Polen; Seven Great Grandchildren Peyton and Riley Wheeler, Will and Lyndi Schafer, Kailie Jackson, Andrea Saylor and Max Reed. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Sunday, May 24, 2009 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will conclude visitation at 4:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Floyd Costello and Rev. Helen Lewis Officiating, along with Freeport Chapter #319 O.E.S. and Amazon Chapter #30 O.E.S. conducting Eastern Star Services. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery.
