Mark D. Lyon

Mark D. Lyon age 68, of East Union, OH passed away Sunday morning July 24, 2016 at his home. He was born August 5, 1947 in Massillon, OH a son of the late William and Vivian Lyon.

Mark served and protected his country in the US Army. He loved cooking and gardening. He was a member of the East Union Coffee Club and the VFW Post #5047 in Navarre, OH. He will always be remembered as a great husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one infant brother.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Karen E. Hall Lyon, whom he married July 24, 2014; daughter Kelli J. Lyon of Tucson, AZ; 2 step-daughters Tonya (Joseph) Chisler of Massillon and Tara (Todd) Baker of North Lawrence, OH; 6 grandchildren; a brother David William Lyon of Massillon; 2 nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph and Adrienne Starr Hall of Brewster, OH; his daughter Kellis mother Joan Lyon of Atlantic Beach, FL.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. A Memorial Service will conclude visitation Thursday at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Ron Calvert officiating. Military funeral honors will follow, conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Central Region NOBL, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, OH 43215.
