Mark E
Grant
Feb 26, 1961 — Oct 23, 2026
Sarahsville, OH formerly of Medina, OH
Mark was an outdoorsman through and through, enjoying God's creation in various ways, whether hunting the vaunted white-tailed deer with his father and uncles or catching mighty bass.
Mark E. Grant, age 65, of Sarahsville, Ohio, formerly of Medina, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, at his residence. He was born on February 26, 1961, in Medina, Ohio, the son of the late Michael and Shirley Snyder Grant.
Mark was an outdoorsman through and through. He spent his entire life in nature, enjoying God's creation in various ways, whether hunting the vaunted white-tailed deer with his father and uncles or catching mighty bass and hearty bluegill on his own.
The common thread throughout his life was time spent in the great outdoors, including at Poplar Knoll, the homestead where he spent many years of his earthly life alongside his father.
While he was completely content enjoying the solitude and beauty of nature at Poplar Knoll, Mark's naturally gregarious personality helped him form many cherished friendships over the years. He was always grateful to share conversations and laughter with those he held dear.
Mark shared a lifelong bond with his father, which included being neighbors for most of their lives.
Mark was not always a fan of cats, but as he got older, he began to admire them. This admiration led him to take great delight in loving and caring for many cats who became his companions during the times he sought refuge from the world.
Mark shared a lifelong bond with his father, which included being neighbors for most of their lives. Together, they often worked on the grounds of Poplar Knoll, transforming it into a wildlife paradise that became home to an abundance of majestic white-tailed deer and noble wild turkeys.
Mark and his father shared countless treasured hunting experiences and memories throughout the many years they had together. This lifelong bond culminated with Mark caring for his father during the final days of his earthly journey.
Mark left this world with his boots on, which is wonderfully fitting for the way he lived his life. He now rests in eternity, where he and his father can continue to marvel at God's creation and care for it together forever.
Those left to cherish his memory include two sisters, Debbie (Gary) Harter of Wooster, Ohio, and Brenda (Chuck) Fritz of West Salem, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Beth Harter, Craig (Jenny) Harter, Kyle Fritz, and Adam Fritz; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Emma Fritz, Caleb Harter, Noah Harter, Makayla Hewitt, and Connor Hewitt. He is also survived by many friends.
Cremation will be observed, and no additional services will be held at this time.
