Marilyn Ziler

Marilyn A. Ziler, age 83, of Caldwell, passed away Saturday (July 12, 2008) at Southeastern Med in Cambridge. She was born June 29, 1925 in Canton, OH a daughter of the late Paul and Sarah Cavanaugh Kiehl. Marilyn was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Caldwell, where she was active in the Catholic Women's Club. She enjoyed spending time with family especially the Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She and her husband served the community for many years operating the former Ziler Garage in Caldwell. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her Husband Kenneth E. "Red" Ziler who passed away Feb. 14, 1979; Granddaughter Chrissy Ziler Mincks; Great-Grandchildren Isaiah Daniel Nigh and Allison Elizabeth Nigh and one Brother Paul Kiehl. Surviving are son Kenneth "Butch" (Alice) Ziler of Caldwell; Three Granddaughters Ann (Jeff) Bowen of Caldwell, Susan E. Ziler of New Philadelphia, OH and Julie M. Ziler of Barnesville, OH; Four Great-Grandchildren Dominic Mincks, Matt and Emily Bowen, Raegan Elizabeth McBride; Sister Margaret "Peg" Larson of Massillon, OH; Sister-In-Law Dorothy Kiehl of North Canton, OH. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Tuesday (July 15, 2008) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724 with a Vigil Service held at 8:00 pm. A Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Caldwell, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris Officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Caldwell. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Caldwell Fire Company, Inc., P.O. Box # 24, Caldwell, OH 43724.
