Marian D. Barnhouse

Life Legacy Marian D. Barnhouse, age 82 of Caldwell, passed away Thursday Evening October 20th, 2011 at her residence in Caldwell, surrounded by her family and under the compassionate care of Hospice. She was born July 14th, 1929 in Noble County, OH a daughter of the late Frank and Beatrice Knot Jennings. Marian was a member of the Caldwell Church of Christ in Caldwell, OH. She liked dirt track racing and anyone that knew her knew what a great cook she was. She enjoyed putting together puzzles and could often be found attending her grandchildren's activities. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband John W. Barnhouse, whom she married April 8th, 1948 and who passed away September 15th, 2001; 2 Brothers Durward and Charles Jennings; 1 Sister Nellie Balog. She will be missed by her family, 3 Sons David (Cathy) Barnhouse of Macksburg, John M. Barnhouse of Toluca, Mexico and Dub Barnhouse of Caldwell; 5 Grandchildren David (Tracy) Barnhouse, Bill Barnhouse, Amanda Barnhouse, Marsha (Tom) Anderson and Chris Barnhouse; 3 Great Grandchildren Aubrey, Jaiden & Lauren. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Monday, October 24th, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 25th, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jim Garrett Officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
