Margie L. Addis

Margie L. Cox Granger Addis age 90, of Byesville, OH went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Altercare Summit Acres. She was born February 26, 1933 in Summerfield, OH a daughter of the late I. Marie Bates.

She graduated from the former Summerfield High School in 1952. She was a member of the Stop Nine Church of Christ in Byesville, Guernsey County O.E.S. Chapter #211, Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center, Robert T. Secrest Senior Citizens Center in Senecaville, OH, and the Golden Sixties. She enjoyed working in her yard, dancing, music, collecting dolls, and angels.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by husbands Edward Cox, James Granger, and George Addis; 2 sons Kevin Dean Cox and Karl Calvin Cox; great-grandchild Monroe; grandmother Mary Rose Miller; sister Linda Callipare; aunt Ollie Allison; uncle Lawrence Barnes; six great uncles and one great aunt; son-in-law Daniel Davis, and companion Raymond Cordray.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter Cheryl A. Davis of Pickerington, OH; son Edward Alan (Tanya) Cox of Caldwell, OH; Grandchildren Alicia Ann, Julie A., Jessica L., Ashley D., Adam T., Luke E., Tera, and Amber; great-grandchildren Marlee, Breanna, Chelsea, Kiersten, Joshua, Logan, Thaddeus, Alan, Alden, and Avery; nephews Jason and David. She was blessed with dear neighbors and loving friends Ruth Carter and Tom and Rhoda Cummins who were always good to check in on her.

The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, February 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will conclude visitation Friday, February 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Evangelist Woody Biggs officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell, OH.
