Margaret E Curtis

Margaret E. Curtis, age 99 of Caldwell, formerly of Hamilton, OH passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at her home. She was born May 2nd, 1913 in Caldwell, OH a daughter of the late Thomas and Minnie Haga Briggs. Margaret devoted her life to her family. She loved to knit, crochet and travel. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by 2 brothers Elba and Joseph Briggs; Beloved granddaughter Brenda Simpson-Soldano. She is survived by her son Russell (Marlene) Curtis of W. Melbourne, FL; 2 daughters Martha Garbesi of Santa Rosa, CA and Mollie (Vernon) Simpson of Hamilton; 5 grandsons Navy Commander Gregg (Debbie) Garbesi, David (Vanessa) Curtis, Mark, John and Marine LT. Colonel Russell J. Curtis; 3 granddaughters Donna (Ross Lahey) Garbesi, Mary (Alexander Juutilainen) Garbesi and Veronica (Nicholas) Unverferth; 11 great-grandchildren Sophia Lahey, Julian Juutilainen, Logan and Dustin Curtis, Alexander, Julianna, Victoria and Nicholas Garbesi, Nicholas Unverferth and Lauren and Gina Soldano. She was looking forward to the birth of her great-grandchild in a few weeks. She is also survived by numerous additional friends and family. A respectful cremation will be observed at this time with no further funeral services observed. An inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family in Olive Cemetery in Caldwell. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family. Margaret's family appreciates the wonderful care given her by Dee Farley, Pam Withers and Stephanie Conrad. They also wish to thank Judy Robinson and the Staff of the Senior Apartments, Health Department of Noble County Visiting Nurses, Hospice of Guernsey Inc., especially Nancy Wilson and Chaplain Jim Garrett and Dr. R. Alan Spencer and Staff.
