Louise Henery

Life Legacy R. Louise Henery, age 83 of Caldwell, OH passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009 at her home. She was born December 7, 1925 in Morgan County, OH a daughter of the late Orville and Dorothy Barclay Ray. Louise was a member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church and a 50 Year Member of the Valley Chapter #19 Order of the Eastern Star located in McConnelsville, OH. She and her late husband Lewis opened the Lewis E. Henery Jewelers in Caldwell in March of 1955. Louise was a volunteer for the Nursing Home Ministry, Noble County Bloodmobile, Noble County Tourism, Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell Schools where she was one of the first volunteers for the Host Program and their Accelerated Reading Program. She also assisted with the Meals On Wheels, Noble County Historical Society, Soakum Festival, Samaritan House, Noble County Recreation where she was on the board when they opened the Happy Time Pool. She participated in four local Bridge Clubs, was a wonderful companion to many friends and always had a love for animals. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis E. Henery who passed away January 3rd, 1989, her first husband Donald O. Cordell who passed away in 1948 and a brother Gene Ray. Surviving are two Sons Jerry (Twila) Cordell and Robert (LaDonna) Cordell both of Caldwell; A Daughter Sandy Riley of Staunton, IL; Four Grandchildren Shane Foster, Travis Riley, Anna Louise Cordell and Tyler Cordell; Four Great Grandchildren Dallas, Shelby, McKenzie and Conner; Two Sister-In-Laws Chris Ray of Malaga, OH and Charlene (Dave) Morgan of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. The Funeral will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Floyd Costello Officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery in Caldwell. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 24, Caldwell, OH 43724-0024.
