Louise Carrel

Louise Carrel age 91, of Caldwell, OH passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell, OH. She was born July 25, 1928 in PA a daughter of the late William "Bill" and Alice Gorley Theiss.

Louise was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell. She was a former 4-H Advisor, enjoyed canning, Bluegrassing, horse racing, and traveling to county fairs. She most loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Gerald E. Carrel, whom she married Nov. 28, 1946 and who passed Jan. 26, 1979; friend Richard C. Teeters; 2 brothers Tom Theiss and Link Theiss; sister Emogene P. Young.

Those left to cherish her memory are 3 daughters Patsy (Dave) Coyle of Caldwell, Peggy (Rick) Davis of Pleasant City, OH, and Penny (Paul) Stoneking of West Virginia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Don (Carolyn) Theiss of Orwell, OH; 3 sisters Caroline Davis of Caldwell, Tricky (Larry) Arnold of New Lexington, OH, and Marie Duffalo of Caldwell; 2 sisters-in-law Imogene DeVolld of Caldwell and Nancy Theiss of Lower Salem, OH; brother-in-law William L. "Bill" Young of Caldwell. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, March 16, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will conclude visitation Monday at 12:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Brent Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Crooked Tree Cemetery.
