Lillian B. Schockling

Lillian B. Schockling age 88, of Caldwell, OH passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, OH. She was born March 8, 1933 in Noble County, OH a daughter of the late Roman and Sophia Schafer Crock.

She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell. She enjoyed quilting, reading, and playing cards. She also liked to follow the Ohio State Buckeyes basketball and football teams.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son Arthur R. "Art" Schockling; siblings Pauline Crum, Leander Crock, and Joseph Crock.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Jerome "Tom" Schockling, whom she married February 14, 1953; 5 children Doug Schockling of Caldwell, Tommy Schockling of Caldwell, Lisa (Ed) Smith of Granville, OH, Kristy (Dale) Crum of Caldwell, and Tim (Susie) Schockling of Caldwell; daughter-in-law Debbie Schockling of Caldwell: 10 grandchildren Kim (Jason) Rucker, Molly (Eric) McVicker, Jennifer (Mike) OBrian, Greg and Nathan Smith, Emily (Matt) OBrien, Mary Ann (Jonathon) Kinnen, Sarah (Levi) Seebach, James and Sophia Schockling; 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM and Friday, October 1, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation Friday at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as celebrant. Cremation will follow with inurnment to be held by the family at a later date in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
