Leatha Carol Janis

Leatha Carol Janis age 84, of Caldwell, OH formerly of Barnesville, OH passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at OhioHealth Kobacker House in Columbus, OH. She was born June 28, 1940 in Batesville, OH a daughter of the late Frank C. and Oleta P. Bruce Triplett.

She loved reading, writing, and painting. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Barnesville, OH since 2008.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Andrew Janis, whom she married October 1, 1966 and who passed away June 21, 2005; sister Ruth Dillingham; brothers-in-law Kenneth Dillingham and Robert McLaughlin; nephews Darwin Dillingham and Donald Carpenter.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister Oleta Elaine Triplett; multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.

Cremation will be observed and she will be laid to rest at St. Casimir’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in Adena, OH at a later date. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
