Lavina Mae Hedge

Lavina Mae Hedge age 97, of Cumberland, OH passed away Friday morning, September 18, 2015 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio. She was born September 28, 1917 in Noble County, OH a daughter of the late Lewis E. and Grace Bartlett Hedge.

Lavina was a member of the Hiramsburg United Methodist Church in Hiramsburg, OH, the Brookfield Homemakers and the Noble County Farm Bureau. She worked for many years at the Noble County Extension Office and the First National Bank in Caldwell. She was a devoted aunt to all of her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews always treating them special, just like her own grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 brothers Clay (Edith) Hedge and John Hedge; brother-in-law Lewis Young and sister-in-law Anna Hedge.

Those left to cherish her memory are 2 brothers James E. Hedge of Marion, OH and R. Dale (Betty) Hedge of Cumberland; 1 sister Neva Young of Zanesville, OH. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Monday, September 21, 2015 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Hiramsburg United Methodist Church, with Pastor Keith Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Hiramsburg Cemetery.
