Larry E Postlethwait

Larry E. Postlethwait age 58 of East Union, OH passed away Monday December 16, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 15, 1955 in South Charleston, WV a son of the late Donald Edward and Kay Joyce Cooper Postlethwait.

Larry was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church in Sharon, OH. He was employed for the US Post Office for over 8 years serving as a mail carrier out of the Pleasant City Post Office. He was also employed for over 18 years at the former DANA Manufacturing Plant in Caldwell. He owned and operated the L & P Construction Company for many years. He also worked for Crock Construction and Advanced Silo.

He will be remembered by his family as a renaissance man with many great traits. His greatest passion was enjoying the open road, riding his Honda Shadow.

He was loved and will be missed by his family, wife Lori Lee Postlethwait whom he married November 22, 1980; 3 children Daniel (Amanda) Postlethwait of East Union, Sarah (Fiance Bayhas Kana) Postlethwait of Lincoln, MA and Matthew Postlethwait of East Union; 2 grandchildren Lacey and Lori Kay Postlethwait; 2 special aunts Lula "Tinie" Postlethwait of Huntington, WV and Joan (Bernard) Fetty of Charleston, WV. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation will be observed. Friends will be received Thursday December 19, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 1:00 PM at the Sharon Presbyterian Church located on Rich Valley Road in Sharon, with Pastor Helen Lewis officiating. Inurnment will follow in the East Union Cemetery in East Union.
