Kenneth T. Lunsford

Kenneth T. Lunsford age 91, of Caldwell, OH passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Summit Acres Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Caldwell, surrounded by family. He was born November 24, 1924 in Warner, OH a son of the late Asa D. and Clara E. Thomas Lunsford.

He served and protected his nation in the US Army during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Caldwell Church of Christ in Caldwell, American Legion and AARP. Kenneth enjoyed traveling, especially through the mountains and to Restored Civil War Battle Fields.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Bernice Mitchell Parcell Lunsford; second wife Violet I. Landaker Lunsford, whom he married September 4, 1992 and who passed away December 21, 2015; 1 sister Ruth Elouise Lunsford Brown; brother-in-law Richard Brown Sr. and nephew Richard Brown.

Those left to cherish his memory are, niece Sally (Don) Voltz of Clairmont, DE; 2 great-nephews Matt Voltz and Mike Voltz; great-niece Laura Ann Voltz; 2 step-daughters Cindy (Mike) Clark of Caldwell and Linda (Raymond) Stillion of Cambridge, OH; step-grandson Jimmy (Jackie) Clark of Leesburg, VA and step-granddaughter Addy (Jason) Scott of Delaware, OH; step-great-grandchildren Myles Clark, Michal and Chandler Scott. He is also survived by several cousins and friends.

Friends will be received Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastors Rick Bourne and Jim Garrett co-officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery, with military graveside services conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
