Kathleen Lorenz

Her Legacy.... M. Kathleen "Kate" Lorenz, age 90, of Caldwell, OH passed away Sunday (Oct. 21, 2007) at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, OH. She was born Oct. 3, 1917 in Monroe County, OH a daughter of the late Thurman and Mary Archer Smith. Kate was a member of the St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Caldwell and the Catholic Women's Club. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading and knitting baby blankets for all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her Family... Surviving are her daughter Barbara (Dick) Semple of Lexington, KY; Two Sons Robert O. (Marcia) Lorenz of Edmond, OK and John (Jeanne) Lorenz of Caldwell; 11 Grandchildren Jeff Semple, Shari Ley, Stacia Neuer, Heather Samson, Garth Semple, Melissa Hart, Rob Lorenz, Christopher Lorenz, Jennifer Carpenter, Jonathon Lorenz and Jill Baker; 23 Great-Grandchildren. Also survived by several special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Lorenz, who passed away Aug. 1, 1978; Five Sisters and Two Brothers. Her Farewell Service... Friends will be received Tuesday (Oct. 23, 2007) from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724 with a vigil service held at 8:30 pm. A Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Caldwell, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris Officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery in Caldwell.
