Katherine I. Crock

August 13, 1955 — February 21, 2025

Katherine I. Crock, 69, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family – the way she lived, always wanting to be with those who mattered most. Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, nana, and friend whose kindness, creativity, and adventurous spirit touched the lives of everyone she knew.


Kathy is survived by her beloved husband, Ed Crock, her faithful companion and travel partner. Together, they shared many incredible journeys, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Kathy is also survived by her loving children: Ray Smithberger (Vesi Bikova and son Albert), Ranae Hamilton (Whitney), Stephanie Crock, Jeannette Feldner (Jason), Brandon Crock (Allison), Janelle Given (Jason), and Ryan Crock (Abby).


Kathy’s precious 16 grandchildren were a constant source of joy for her, and she is survived by: Brendan Saling, Dr. Makayla Heil (Lane), Morgan Smithberger, Raegan Feldner (Brady Jacobs Bell), Hope Saling, Zoey Crock, Elise Hamilton, Carly Smithberger, Jacob Feldner, Ethan Crock, Macy Crock, Jillian Given, Jacy Crock, Grant Hamilton, Camy Crock, and Lilly Feldner.


Kathy is also survived by her mother, Irene Clift and sisters Christina Ward (Dennis), Jeanine Colvin (David), sister-in-law Diane Clift and many nieces and nephews.


Kathy was preceded in death by her father, William (Bill) Clift and brother Billy Clift.


Kathy had a deep love for crafting, particularly quilting, sewing, crocheting, and knitting. Her creations will forever be cherished as personal keepsakes by her family. She was also passionate about traveling, always seeking new experiences with Ed by her side, exploring new places and making lasting memories which included many adventures around the world showcasing Crock Custom Trucks.


Beyond her hobbies, Kathy was a committed and active member of her community. She served as a youth leader for over 40 years in her church, a Girl Scout Leader, and cheerleading advisor, fostering faith, leadership and character in future generations. Kathy was a Director for Mary Kay, a Master Gardener and a member of organizations such as the Business and Professional Women's (BPW) group and the Eastern Star. She contributed her time and expertise on the Noble County Airport Board and attended Lebanon Global Church.


Friends and family are invited to gather for a celebration of Kathy's life and to honor the beautiful person she was. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Brad Peoples officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Lebanon Global Church, 30626 Lebanon Rd, Lower Salem, OH 45745 or Faith Baptist Church Blessing Baskets, 200 Grove Rd, Belle Valley, OH 43717, causes that were dear to Kathy’s heart.


She will be greatly missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
