Josephine Moore, age 76 of Caldwell, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, November 27, 2006, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Josephine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and servant of the Lord whose only desire was to glorify her Lord during her lifetime. Josephine was born on March 19,1930 in Bayonne, New Jersey to the late Stephen and Elizabeth Lenger Ondreyicka. She graduated from Bayonne High School in New Jersey and attended the Philadelphia College of Bible. She completed her Christian training at Eastern Christian College in New Jersey. Josephine went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree in education from Muskingum College and her Master's Degree from The Ohio State University in reading. Josephine was an educator for thirty years working in the Noble Local Schools, Caldwell Exempted Village Schools and Zanesville City Schools from where she retired. She had a wide range of experience in education working in the field of reading and in grades K-6. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Caldwell, Ohio, Noble County Retired Teachers, Delta Kappa Gamma and the Cambridge Baptist Ministers' Association. Josephine enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family. Josephine went into full-time Christian service with her husband, Charles, of fifty-eight years. They both served as missionaries to Panama under the Conservative Baptist Home Mission Society. They also served together in pastorates at East Orange, New Jersey, Crestline Baptist Church, Crestline, Ohio and First Baptist Church, Byesville, Ohio. Their Christian service also led them into several area churches where Charles was an interim pastor. She credits her desire to serve the Lord to her being saved through a Bible Club at a young age under the guidance of Miss Bertha Muntz, now deceased. Josephine is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Charles I. Moore, three children, Rebecca (Roy) Williams of Gnadenhutten, Ohio, Cindy (Jerry) Hall of Dover, Ohio and David (Shelly) Moore of Cincinnati, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Adam Hall, Mark Williams, Jared (Tammy) Hall, Heidi (Tommy) Baker, Heather Williams, Kristen Hall, Emma Moore and Isaac Moore; five great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Corrine Hall and Carter, Avery and Ashleigh Baker, and one sister Helen (Ray) Schuyler of Morris Plains, New Jersey.
