Joseph Henry Schott, age 75, of Caldwell died Friday evening, Nov. 4, 2005 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Ohio. He was born Nov. 11, 1929 in Harriettsville, Ohio the son of the late Charles P. and Lenora Ullman Schott. He was a partner in the Schott's Sawmill and served his country and protected our freedom by serving in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Charles and Neil Schott; two sisters Doris Toole and Hazel Barker. Joseph is survived by his wife Mabel Hayes Schott of the home whom he married June 20, 1953. Three sons Larry (Kathy) Schott of Dexter City, OH, Lewis Schott of Caldwell, OH and Samuel (Wendy) Schott of Caldwell, OH. Two daughters Mary Jane (Rob) McKee of Caldwell, OH and B. Joy (Dale) Guiler of Pleasant City, OH. Grandchildren Stephanie Slater, Alisa Slater, Janein Slater, Robyn McKee, Bryan McKee, Travis and Heath Zerger, Brooke Swain, Benjamin Joseph Schott. Great-Grandchildren Isabel Fuller, Helen Slater, Madison Zerger, Brooke Withers. Two Step Grandchildren Dale and Troy Guiler. Step Great-Grandson Austin Guiler. Two Sisters Esther Hesson of Cumberland and Anna Mae Brooker of Churchtown, OH. Three Brothers John Schott of Dexter City, James Schott of Lower Salem and Dean Schott of Beverly. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday (Nov. 8, 2005) from 2 to 9 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Wednesday (Nov. 9, 2005) at 2:00 pm in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Father Samuel Saprano Officiating. Burial will follow at Ogle's Ridge Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Caldwell VFW Post #4721 and Belle Valley American Legion Post #641.
