 
            His Legacy... Joseph Burbacher, age 76, of Summerfield, passed away Wednesday (October 24, 2007) at the Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. Joseph was born January 12, 1931 in Summerfield, OH a son of the late Ralph and Bertha Allen Burbacher. Joseph was a Graduate of the Summerfield High School and the Lincoln School of Welding in Cleveland, OH. He served and protected his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving from 1951 to 1955 aboard the USS Nereus stationed at the U.S. Naval Submarine Base, Pearl Harbor. He achieved the rank of 2nd Class Metal Smith. Following his service he returned to Summerfield, where he lived out his life with his loving family. He was a welder for Sidwell Brothers Inc. where he retired from in 1992. He was a member of Olive Lodge # 210 F. & A.M., Summerfield American Legion Post # 415, Life Member of the Caldwell VFW Post #4721, Seneca Sportsman's Club, United Mine Workers Local #1604, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local #356 in Marietta. His Family... Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Nancy Stoehr Burbacher of the home, whom he married May 6, 1961; Daughter Julia (Jon) Blake of Zanesville, OH and Son Alan (Rochelle) Burbacher of Eustis, FL; Five Grandchildren Jason and Kristen Blake, Ashley, J.E. and Douglas Burbacher. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a Brother Glen Burbacher; Three Sisters Lois Reed, Grace Moore and Betty Clark; Step-Grandson Ryan Delvaney. His Farewell Service... Friends will be received Sunday (October 28, 2007) anytime with the family present from 2 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724, where the Olive Lodge #210 F. & A.M. will conduct services at 6:30 pm. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 am in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Love Officiating. Burial will follow in Eastern Cemetery, where the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations will conduct military graveside honors.
