John L. Hedge

John L. Hedge, age 92 of Cumberland, OH passed away Saturday morning, January 19th, 2013 at his residence. He was born April 10th, 1920 in Noble County, OH a son of the late Lewis E. and Grace Bartlett Hedge.

John served and protected his nation in the US Army. He was a member of the Hiramsburg United Methodist Church in Hiramsburg, OH, the Noble County Farm Bureau and the Noble County Cattlemans Association. He was a 4-H Advisor at Brookfield for many years and was also a Brookfield Township Trustee for several years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a Brother Clay Hedge.

He will be missed by his family, 2 Brothers James E. Hedge of Marion, OH and R. Dale (Betty) Hedge of Cumberland; 2 Sisters Lavina Mae Hedge of the Home and Neva (Lewis) Young of Sebrina, FL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Monday, January 21st, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Keith Taylor Officiating. Burial will follow in Hiramsburg Cemetery.
