John William Denny

John William Denny age 74, of Caldwell, OH passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH following a brief illness. He was born July 1, 1951 in Zanesville, OH, son of the late John and Sue Varhola Denny.

He was a member of the Hiramsburg United Methodist Church in Hiramsburg, OH. John read his Bible every morning faithfully. He worked for many years for the former Mahle Manufacturing Plant in Caldwell as a tool maker. He was also a bus driver for Caldwell Schools and served his community as a Brookfield Township Trustee. John enjoyed shooting trap, hunting, and sitting on his porch. Above all, he cherished visiting each of his daughters weekly on their special day, a routine that will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters Peggy Sue (James) Townsend of Caldwell, OH and Laura (Jamie) Hill of Cumberland, OH; grandchildren Jalisa (Hunter) Thomas, Sam (Haleigh) Townsend, Noah (Brooke Farmer) Townsend, Dylan Hill, Dalton (Autumn) Hill, Ruthann Hill, Rhett Hill, Lillie Hill, and Lettie Hill; lifelong friends Danny Johnson and Clayton "Brownie" Brown.

Cremation will be observed at this time. The family invites friends to attend a memorial gathering held Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at John's Farm to share memories and for one last "porch sit" in his honor.
