Jeffrey 'Jeff' S. Halasi

Jeffrey S. Halasi, 55, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 15th, 2021. Born January 31st, 1966 in East Brady PA, he was the son of the late Steve and Marilyn Halasi of Gahanna, Ohio.

Jeff was a 1984 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School, and a 1988 graduate of Ashland University where he was a member of the football team, PHI Kappa Psi Fraternity, and received a degree in business. Jeff was also co-owner of Secrest Crum Insurance Agency from 1998-2021. Jeff was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers. He had a passion for coaching and loved coaching his boys as they grew up. Jeff enjoyed hanging out with his many friends, especially on the golf course.

Jeff is survived by former wife Karen Crum Halasi, and children: Jordan Halasi (26), Ryan Halasi (24), and Alex Halasi (20). Sister Sherry Stryker (Buzz), Aunt Gail and Uncle Neil ODonnell, Aunt Nancy McCandless (Late Lee McCandless), Uncle Mark Verner, and Uncle John and Alicia Verner. Jeff is also survived by mother-in-law Audrey Crum and the late James Crum of Caldwell, Ohio. Brother-in-law Daren Crum (Holly), Mike Crum (Amy), Sister-in-law Stacey Patton (Peter). There were also several nieces and nephews who held their own special place in his heart.

Cremation will be observed with a private service for family members only in the near future. A video of the great memories of Jeff can be seen below.
