Jean C James

Jean C. James, age 75 of Caldwell, OH formerly of Central Ohio, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Summit Acres Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell. She was born March 26, 1936 in Franklin County, OH a daughter of the late Walter and Anna Ruffing Collins. Jean worked for Zales Jewelry Stores for many years. She was a Lutheran by faith and enjoyed spending her time baking, sewing and quilting. Jean was an avid animal lover, especially birds. She was able to identify a bird simply from its song. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband Vincent G. James whom she married in June of 1994 and who passed away September 5th, 2008; Daughter Susan Gorby; 1 Brother James Collins and 1 Sister Mildred Draper. She will be missed by her family, Son Kenneth (Becky) Case of Galloway, OH; Daughter Elizabeth (Dennis) McLoughlin of Orange City, FL; 3 Grandchildren Shawn (Cathy) Cole, Sarah Hall, and Charley Case; 3 Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother Walter (Nellie) Collins of Columbus, OH; Stepdaughter Judy James of Caldwell, OH. She is also survived by a large blended family, several nieces, nephews and friends. A cremation will be performed, without any additional services held at this time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Guernsey, Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
