Janet C. Saling

Janet C. Saling age 77, of Caldwell, OH passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at her home, with her loving son by her side. She was born April 6, 1945 in Canton, OH a daughter of the late Michael E. and Thelma F. Murphy Sholtis.

She was a member of the last graduating class of the former Sarahsville High School. She enjoyed mowing her yard and placing flowers around the house. She liked watching all kinds of sports. She was fond of her and Dougs trips to eat Chinese food and stop by Walmart.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth C. "Kenny" Saling whom she married August 5, 1967 and who passed away January 21, 2010; 2 sisters Marlene Hague and Sandra (Billy) Wheeler; sister-in-law Althea Sholtis; brothers-in-law William R. Saling and Denver A. "Butch" Saling; father-in-law and mother-in-law Bernard and Margie Saling.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Doug B. Saling of Caldwell; brother David Sholtis of Highland, IL; 4 sisters-in-law Christy (Richard) Postlethwait of Caldwell, Sheila (Jim) Serdy of Belle Valley, Becky Saling of Caldwell, and Beth Saling of Sarahsville; niece Sondra (Tim) Stevers of Sammamish WA. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with her son Doug Saling officiating. Burial will follow in Barrys Ridge Cemetery.
