James 'Speedy' T. Rossiter

James T. "Speedy" Rossiter age 68, of Caldwell, OH passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH. He was born October 24, 1947 in Caldwell, OH a son of the late Carlos A. Rossiter and Beulah F. Rayner Rossiter Anderson.

Jim worked for the former Mahle Plant for 36 years. He served his community as an Olive Township Trustee for 30 years and a Noble County Commissioner for 4 years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed mowing the yard, farming, taking long walks and politics.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Rev. Larry Rossiter.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Gerry Nichols Rossiter of Caldwell, whom he married May 7, 1966; 1 son Mark "Kermit" (Missy) Rossiter of Caldwell; 3 grandchildren Mark Rossiter Jr., Danielle Koval, and Dalton Rossiter all of Caldwell; brothers-in-law Tim Nichols of Caldwell and Dennis (Jackie) Nichols of Kentucky; special niece Megan Nichols and great-nephew Tyson Nichols; 2 brothers Jerry Rossiter of Caldwell and Gary(Patricia)Rossiter of Caldwell; 2 sisters Linda(Gene)Devoll of Caldwell, and Janice Rossiter of Caldwell; 1 sister in law Mary Rossiter of Cincinnati, OH. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 29, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Helen Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Halleys Ridge Cemetery near Ava, OH.
