James Edgar Flower, 71, of Marietta died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, May 13, 2024. He was born on March 7, 1953, in Marietta to Donald E. and Virginia L. Flower.
He was a 1971 Graduate of Marietta High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Tucson, Ariz. After returning to Marietta, he was employed at various jobs, working at Moores Store, The Crescent Supply Co. and for the Congregational Church of Marietta. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and then became a member of the Congregational Church, serving on various committees.
Mr. Flower is survived by his sisters, Mrs. Edward (Sue) Enyedy of Oro Valley, Ariz., and Mrs. Bruce (Nancy) Smith of Mesquite, Nev.; four nieces, Wylie Zeigler of Evansville, Ind., Halle Enyedy of Portland, Ore., Jennifer Quist of Lake George, Colo., and Gretchen Smith of Coeur d Alene, Idaho; one nephew, Brian Enyedy of Edmonds, Wash.; two cousins, Richard Rinard and Priscilla Rollyson of Marietta.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kimberly Flower and his daughter Cindy Flower.
A military service will be held on Thursday, May 23, at 1 p.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery, Marietta.
