James E Braden

James E. Braden, age 76, of Caldwell, OH passed away Wednesday, August 11th, 2010 at Summit Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born November 13th, 1933 in Galion, OH a son of the late Harley and Ethel Gelsanliter Braden. James was a 1959 Graduate of Ohio Northern with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and a 1971 Graduate of the Ohio State University with a B.S. Degree in Pharmacy. James was the former Pharmacist and Owner/Operator of the Gillespies Drugs in Caldwell. He served and protected our Nation in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church in Caldwell, Noble County Chamber of Commerce and the Past President of the Noble County Retail Merchants. He was a member of the Ohio Pharmacist's Association and the National Community Pharmacist's Association. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one Sister Dorothy Quaintance. James will be missed by his family, Wife DiAnna Gillespie Braden of the home, whom he married May 9th, 1959; two Sons Scott (Diane) Braden and Brad (Yvonne) Braden all of Caldwell; seven Grandchildren Kristen (Kyle) Huck, Lisa, Laura and Jamie Braden, Chloe, Brooke and Shayla Braden; one Step-Grandson Trevor Hayes; one Sister Joanne Manring of Galion. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Saturday, August 14th, 2010 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, August 15th, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Cooper Officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery in Caldwell, with Military Graveside Services conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Caldwell United Methodist Church, 537 Main Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724.
