Ila Flontella Carpenter

Ila Flontella Larrick Carpenter age 82, of Caldwell, OH, formerly of Summerfield, OH passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell. She was born near Carlisle on January 13, 1934 the daughter of Tharcella Kuhn Larrick Smith and John R. Larrick who both preceded her in death, along with a half-sister Sharon Larrick Rominger. She was a member and raised her family in the St. Michael Catholic Church in Carlisle, where she was also a member of their Catholic Womens Club. Later she became a member of the St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell. Ilas four daughters and their families were her greatest love. Those left behind that will miss her greatly are: Janet (the late Larry) OBrien, their sons Steven (Tecarrie) OBrien and their children Madison and Jamison, Mathew (Emily) OBrien and their children Kadence and Shane. Janeen (Kenny) Wise, and their children Rachel Wise and her son Joseph, Ryan (Andrea) Wise and their daughters Vivian and Phoebe. Jane Smith and her daughters Sarah (Jim) Lenner and their daughters Amelia and Georgia and Maryah Smith and her children Mila and Luke John. Liz (Jim) Dimmerling and their children Olivia (Matt) Dolan and their children Emma and C.J. and Alex Dimmerling and his son Jacob. Also survived by one brother J.K. (Helen) Larrick and their son Chris (Mindy) Larrick and their family. A niece Taylor Rominger and a special childhood friend Agatha Lou Leasure Schell. The family will receive friends Friday, December 9, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with a Vigil Service held at the conclusion of visitation at 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1036 Belford Street, Caldwell, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Eastern Cemetery in Summerfield, OH. Ilas 8 grandchildren will proudly be serving as pallbearers.
