Harold E Ritterbeck

Harold E. Ritterbeck, age 78 of Summerfield, OH passed away Thursday Evening, December 1st, 2011 at the Countryview Assisted Living Center in Cambridge, OH. He was born April 10th, 1933 in Noble County, OH a son of the late Carl F. and Freda M. Hill Ritterbeck.

Harold served and protected his nation in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Marys of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda and their Ushers Club. He worked on the family farm as well as Marietta Concrete for several years prior to starting as a Rural Postal Carrier, from where he would eventually retire.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 3 Sisters Mary Agnes Ritterbeck Weisend, Rita Ann Ritterbeck Zwick and Theresa Ann Ritterbeck Matheney; 1 Brother Francis Ritterbeck.

He will be missed by his family, 2 Brothers Herman (LaVaughn) Ritterbeck of Granville, OH and Howard (Beverly) Ritterbeck of Boliver, OH. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Sunday, December 4th, 2011 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 with a Vigil Service held at 5:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 5th, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Marys of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be directed in Harolds Honor, to the Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
