His Legacy.... Forest Richard "Dick" Starr, age 72, of Macksburg, OH passed away Tuesday morning (May 15, 2007) at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. He was born September 28, 1934 in Pataskala, OH a son of the late Leonard A. and Georgetta Mabel Kidner Starr. Dick served and protected his country in the US Navy. He was a member of the Belle Valley American Legion Post #641 and VFW Post #4141 in Delray Beach, FL. He was the Mayor of Macksburg for over eight years and enjoyed spending time fishing. His Family..... Surviving are his wife Suzann Grahame Starr of the home, whom he married March 21, 1991; 2 Sons Sam (Linda) Starr of Ashtabula, OH and Allen (Delores) Starr of Boynton Beach, FL; 4 Daughters Rose of Arkansas, Angie of Dexter City, OH, Tammy (Michael) Davis of Lake Worth, FL and Tabatha (Willie) Andrews of Stephen City, VA; Several Grandchildren; 4 Sisters Dessie Clark of Caldwell, Coralou Gerst of Fulda, OH, Dorothy Kemp of Macksburg and Carolyn (Jim) Rice II of Macksburg; Step-Brother Carroll Piggott of Flat Rock, MI. Also Survived by several nieces and nephews. His Farewell Service..... In keeping with Dick's wishes no services will be observed at this time, a private committal service will take place at the convenience of the family.
