Evelyn J. Gillett

Evelyn J. Gillett age 74, of Caldwell, OH passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell. She was born March 12, 1942 in Plainwell, MI a daughter of the late Harry and Ruth Wilson Brown.

She had a love for reading and completing word search puzzles. However, she was most happy while spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sons Harry and Alex Gillett; 1 brother; 1 sister and a daughter-in-law Melodie Jo Velosky Gillett.

Those left to cherish her memory are 2 sons Henry Gillett of Caldwell and Jerome (Christine) Gillett of Newark, OH; 1 daughter Sandra (Richard) Bartrug of Woodsfield, OH; grandchildren Jakayla Oakes, Brittany Gillett, Jade Oakes, Korey Oakes, Shawn Gillett, Jeanna Oakes, Kitson Oakes, Ruthie Gillett, Hannah Bartrug, and Loralie Gillett; 1 great-granddaughter Naomi Lough; 4 sisters; 4 brothers; lifelong friend Raynola Little of New Philadephia, OH; several nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by numerous honorary children and grandchildren.

Cremation will be performed and a memorial service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Joyce M. Davis Senior Center, 300 Cumberland St, Caldwell, OH 43724.
