Emma Jean Polen

Emma Jean Polen age 77, of Lowell, OH passed away Friday, February 15th, 2013 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. She was born March 1st, 1935 in Connorville, OH a daughter of the late Paul T. and Mildred Carpenter Mowrey. She was a member of the Twin Rivers Baptist Church in Whipple. She was also a member of the Aurelius Chapter No. 60 Order of Eastern Star where she was the Worthy Matron in 1978, 1979, 1986 and 2009. She was also a member of the Marietta Shrine #12 White Shrine of Jerusalem having served as the High Priestess in 1982 and Grand Representative of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island in 1987. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 sisters Nancy Proger, Hess Krinki and Mary Bayliss; 1 Daughter-In-Law Tami Polen. She was loved and will be missed by her family, husband James E. Polen of the home whom she married July 12th, 1951; 3 sons Joseph (Donna) Polen of Lowell, Tom Polen of Caldwell,OH and James (Charlotte) Polen Jr. of Fort Myers, FL; 9 grandchildren Stephanie Reed, Rhea Neugebauer, Misty (Jammie) Brock, Michele Polen, Eric Petty, Celina Petty, Vincent Allen, Michele Rainer and Sheila Marie Polen; 12 great grandchildren Max, Leo, Luke, Amyah, Brodie, Autumn, Mariza, Myranda, Mason, Zoey, Gavin and Sophie; 1 Brother Paul T. (Lola) Mowrey Jr. of Dover, OH. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Tuesday February 19th, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with an Eastern Star Service observed at 7:30PM. A funeral service will be held Wednesday February 20th, 2013 at 11:00 AM with an hour of visitation prior from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at the Twin Rivers Baptist Church, 110 D.A.V. Road, Whipple, OH 45788, with Pastor Jeff Baumer officiating. Burial will be held at the Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Twin Rivers Baptist Church, P.O. Box 42, Marietta, OH 45750.
