Elexis "Lexi" Emily Bender

Life Legacy Elexis "Lexi" Emily Bender age 16, of Caldwell passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 as a result of an automobile accident in Sarahsville. She was born July 5th, 1993 in Zanesville, OH a daughter of Mark E. Schott of Ava and Charlee Walker Bender of Caldwell. Lexi was a Junior at the Shenandoah High School where she was involved in the FFA Program and the Spanish Club. She enjoyed being outside in the sun and riding horses. She could often be found shopping or spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather Charles Bender and two cousins Nick Smith and Adam Bender. In addition to her parents she is survived by a Maternal Grandmother Wilda Bender of Caldwell; Paternal Grandmother Theresa (Cecil) Hammonds of Caldwell; Paternal Grandfather Kenneth Schott of Caldwell; Uncles and Aunts Tim (Pam) Smith of West Lafayette, OH, Jamie (Debbie) Smith of Rittman, OH, Eric (Veronica) Bender of Caldwell, Barb (Jerry) Rayner of Ava, JoAnn (Steve) Bettinger of Caldwell; Cousins Timmy, Amber, Laken, Shelley (Josh), Zayne, Scott, Tyler, Bryant (Ginny) and Daniel; A special friend Ethan Weber of Sarahsville. She is also survived by many friends and classmates. Friends will be received Monday, February 8th, 2010 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Gymnasium of the Shenandoah Elementary School, 20977 Zep Road East, Sarahsville, OH 43779. Burial will follow in Halley's Ridge Cemetery in Ava.
