Biography

His Legacy.... Edwin Richard Mincks, age 61, of Beverly, OH passed away Wednesday (Feb. 27, 2008) at his home. He was born Oct. 23, 1946 in Marietta, OH a son of the late Edwin and Louise (Gessel) Mincks. Richard was an avid outdoorsman he enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He owned and operated the Mincks and Sons Logging Company in Beverly. His Family... Surviving are his wife Phyllis Smith Mincks of the home, whom he married Oct. 22, 1965; Daughter Malissa (Jesse) Rossiter of Cardington, OH; 6 Sons Richard 'Rick' Mincks and Emily Offenberger of Beverly, Robby (Salena) Mincks of Beverly, Ronny (Kim) Mincks of Beverly, Rodney (Chasity) Mincks of Beverly, Eric Mincks and Kristin Hummerich of Beverly, OH and Jamie (Christa) Mincks of Macksburg; 14 Grandchildren Kayla, Jesse and Jason Rossiter, Brandon, Tawni, Ryan, Austin, Shyla, Josh, Kasidy, Trey, Caeley, Jordan and Zayne Mincks; 5 Sisters Mary (Rolland) Moore of Ava, OH, Linda Mincks of Macksburg, Janet (Harry) McAuley of Macksburg, Ruth Ann (Ken) Kramer of Marietta and Beverly (Dick) Ogle of Dexter City, OH; 1 Brother Bill (Jan) Mincks of Macksburg; Also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a Brother John Mincks. His Farewell Service... Friends will be received Thursday (Feb. 28, 2008) from 6 to 8 pm and Friday from 2 to 8 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Ogg Officiating. Burial will follow in the Shafers Cemetery near Macksburg.
