Duane E. King, age 72 of Caldwell, OH passed away Wednesday Afternoon (October 1, 2008) at the Summit Acres Nursing and Rehab Facility in Caldwell following a brief illness. He was born July 4, 1936 in Noble County, a son of the late Lawrence and Thelma Jordan King. He was a member of Bell's United Methodist Church and the former owner of King Quarries and Limestone in Cumberland, OH. He was an Honorary Member of the Caldwell Fire Department and was an avid supporter of the Noble County Fair, having served on the Fair Board for 15 years. Duane also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother David King. He is survived by one Daughter Carolyn (Sean) Sullivan of Chicago, IL; One Son Scott (Melissa) King of Caldwell; 4 Grandchildren Brennan and Zachary King both of Caldwell, and Conner and Luke Sullivan both of Chicago, IL; Great Grandchild Trace King; One Sister Barbara (Ron) Priest of Sun City, FL and one Sister-in-law Mary King of Caldwell. Also survived by a niece, five nephews, several great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Friends will be received Saturday (October 4, 2008) from 2 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH. Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Helen Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Halleys Ridge Cemetery near Ava, OH.
