Dorthea Shaw

Dorthea Wycoff Shaw, age 79, of Caldwell, OH passed away Wednesday Evening October 12th, 2011 at the Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville, OH. She was born May 2nd, 1932 in Zanesville, OH a daughter of the late Raymond and Carolyn R. Smith Wycoff. She was a member and very active at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Caldwell and the Catholic Women's Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She could often be found supporting local charities and benefits. Much of her free time was spent tending to her flower garden. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband David L. Shaw whom she married November 4, 1950 and who passed away February 1st, 2008, a daughter, Donna Lee Shaw and a brother Ramon J. "Buddy" Wycoff. She will be missed by her family four children, Danny (Donna) Shaw of Caldwell, Deborah (Mark) Barnes of Caldwell, Dianna (Roger) Clark of Caldwell and Donald Shaw of Caldwell; 11 Grandchildren, Robbie, Jason, Amanda, Luke, Chris, Jonathan, Jared, Travis, Troy, Megan and Jessica; 11 Great-Grandchildren, Reese, Kadence, Olivia, Sophia, Dylan, Logan, Madison, Cohen, Kaylee, Felicity and Laney; Half-Brother Jimmy (Susie) Wycoff of Cincinnati, OH; Half Sister Susie (Mark) Eppley of Zanesville, OH. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Sunday, October 16th, 2011 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, with a Vigil Service held at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 17th, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Caldwell with Rev. Father Chester Pabin serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Caldwell.
