Dorothy Elizabeth Jackson, age 90, of Caldwell died Monday evening (Jan. 16, 06) at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born Jan. 29, 1915 in Jasper County, MO a daughter of the late Forest and Charlotte (Lyles) Baughman. Dorothy owned and operated the J-Burger Bar in Caldwell from 1957 to 1987. She was a member of the Townsquare Quiltlovers Guild. She made over 3,000 ABC Quilts for terminally ill children. She was Methodist by faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Howard Baughman, sister Myrtle Story and Great-Grandson Adam D. Bender. Surviving are her Husband Eugene Sylvester Jackson of the home, whom she married Dec. 22, 1935; Two Sons Kenneth (Joan) Jackson of Caldwell and Marvin (Grace) Jackson of Columbus; Grandchildren Tressa (Paul) Barlock of Caldwell, Veronica (Eric) Bender of Caldwell, Jenifer Cooper of Pleasant City, Matthew E. (Maggie) Jackson of High Point, N.C. and Timothy A. Jackson of Charleston, S.C.; 10 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Friends will be received Thursday (Jan. 19, 06) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. Funeral Services will be held Friday (Jan. 20, 06) at 1:00 pm in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Fitzgerald and Rev. Father Dale Tornes officiating.
