Donna J Lothes

Donna J. Lothes, age 81 of Beverly, OH passed away Wednesday, August 8th, 2012 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH. She was born April 8th, 1931 in Hoskinsville, OH a daughter of the late Almon and Erie Lowe Secrest. Donna loved to travel, enjoyed playing games and working on jigsaw puzzles, but most of all loved spending time with her family. For 50 years in a row Dale, herself and their family traveled to Canada to fish and made great memories. She started selling life insurance in 1972, started working for AFLAC in 1975 and she was currently still licensed with them. In 1979 she purchased a Property & Casualty Insurance Agency, which later became The Lothes Insurance Agency located in Lowell, OH. In 1979 Donna joined the Business and Professional Women (BPW) in Caldwell. She was President of the local chapter many times, President of the region and served as a committee chair on the State Level. BPW named her Southeastern Ohio Woman of the Year. She was also active and a charter member of the Noble County Red Hat Mommas. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a Brother Gordon Secrest and a Sister Audrey Osborn. She was loved and will be dearly missed by her family, Husband Dale J. Lothes of the home, whom she married April 9th, 1950; 4 Daughters Melody Lothes of Foxborough, MA, Linda Lothes of Marietta, OH, Abby (Randy) Merrow of Beverly, OH and Carolyn (Earl) Johnson of Beverly; 6 Grandchildren Joe (Allison) Sayre, Danielle (Greg) Erb, Heather (Jeremy) Hesson, Cody Sayre, Lotus McLaurin and Dylan Sayre; 6 Great Grandchildren Ava Sayre, Brayden Erb, Grady Hesson, Sydney Erb, Ella Sayre and Mia Hesson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Friday, August 10th, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 11th, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Garrett Officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell, OH.
