Donna Marie Kress

Donna Marie Kress age 70, of Fulda, OH passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 24, 1954 in Caldwell, OH a daughter of the late Donald D. and Mamie Marie Humphrey Smith.

She was a member of St. Mary’s of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda as well as their C.W.C. Donna was also a member of the Women of the Moose – Caldwell Lodge #221. She could often be found making noodles or homemade wine. Donna loved to be outside, from riding her lawnmower, to working in her flower beds or garden. She also enjoyed riding around the ridge in Bill’s truck, taking in the scenery. She was a monthly steadfast supporter of St. Jude.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William A. “Bill” Kress whom she married March 27, 1981 and who passed December 13, 2011; a brother Paul Smith and a sister Patty Smith Steed.

Those left to cherish her memory, are her very special partner Eugene Hardesty; 2 sons William D. (Anna) Kress of Cincinnati, OH and Tony D. (Melanie) Kress of New Concord, OH; 5 grandchildren Jeremy, Jaeley, Benjamin, Eli, and Addy Kress; 2 brothers Ron (Ruth) Smith of Caldwell and Terry (Kay) Smith of Bethesda, OH. She is also survived by a large extended family, including many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, August 9, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 43700 Fulda Road, Caldwell, OH 43724, with Rev. Father Thomas Nau serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Bill.
