Donald R. Bias Sr.

Donald R. Bias Sr. age 74, of Macksburg, OH passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. He was born July 27, 1939 in West Virginia, a son of the late Dewey and Lora Osbourne Bias.

He retired from Alcoa Cleveland Works after 30 years of service. He owned and operated American Creations, a buffing business and the Darrah Ridge Alpaca Farm. He will always be remembered as a hard worker that loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 1 brother Dallas Bias; 3 sisters Willie, Georgie, and Sarah and 1 great-grandchild.

He was loved and will be missed by his family, wife Rebecca A. Hurd Bias of the home, whom he married November 19, 1982; 3 daughters Theresa (Rodney) Parker of Mansfield, OH, Donita Bilbee and Dawn (John) Beiser of Mansfield; 2 sons Donald Bias Jr. and Shaun Meyer of the home; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and 5 sisters. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Thursday March 13, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mitchell Bias officiating. Burial will follow in Dudley Cemetery.
