Life Legacy
 David D. Thomas age 66 of Caldwell, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, OH. He was born September 23, 1943 in Green, OH a son of the late Donald F. and Hazel Renner Thomas. 
 
David served his nation in the National Guard and was a retired Cambridge Police Officer. He was a Life Member of the F.O.P. Cambridge Lodge #10, a member of the Guernsey Aerie 386 F.O.E., Cambridge Lodge #66 F. & A.M. and Cambridge Elks Lodge #448, where he was a Past Exalted Ruler. David did accounting work for numerous businesses and individuals. In his free time he enjoyed golfing and sports especially watching his two favorite teams Ohio State University and the Cleveland Browns. 
 
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a Brother Don H. Thomas and Sister-In-Law Joan Thomas. 
 
Surviving are his wife Peggy Williams Thomas, of the home, whom he married Dec. 18, 1993; Two Daughters Debra (George) Lorenz of Pataskala, OH and Christa (Robert) Daymut of Cambridge, OH; 8 Grandchildren Michael, Gunnar, Daniel, Gage, Ethan, Wesley, Andrew and Cole. He will also be missed by several golfing buddies, friends and clients. 
 
In keeping with David's wishes a cremation will be observed with a Memorial Service held Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 at 6:30 PM at the Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1101 Steubenville Avenue, Cambridge, OH 43725. Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the F.O.P. Cambridge Lodge #10 Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box #1679, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
