Life Legacy
David Scott Long, 61, of Cambridge, passed away at his home on Sunday (Feb. 5, 2012).
He was born June 3, 1950, in Cambridge, son of the late Richard and Nancy (Scott) Long.
Mr. Long was a 1968 graduate of Cambridge High School and attended Ohio University in Athens.
He was owner of Kogen Personnel Agency in Cambridge, and was co-owner of the legendary Yellow Front Saloon in Cambridge.
He later moved to Florida, where he worked in the securities industry. In 2004, following the death of his father, Mr. Long returned to Cambridge to care for his mother and help run Long's Motel.
He enjoyed fishing, antiquing, yard sales and auctions.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Long.
He leaves three sons, Brian, Kyle and Alex, all of Florida; a daughter, Ella Wenda of Wiesbaden, Germany; a brother, Robert L. Long of the home; a sister-in-law, Irene Long of Westerville; a niece, Michelle Vogelsang of Ostrander; two nephews, Craig Long and Clint Long of Columbus; and a special friend, Sandy Chambers.
A private memorial service will be held.
