Darrell E. Holley

Darrell E. Holley, age 58 of Macksburg, OH passed away Thursday afternoon, May 17th, 2012 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. He was born March 18th, 1954 in Charleston, WV a son of Myrtle A. Eggleston Holley of Macksburg and the late Homer L. Holley. Darrell was active in local Demolition Derbys and he enjoyed tinkering around doing mechanic work. For many years, he assisted the local Lion's Club making homemade ice cream. He worked for over 33 years in the natural gas industry for the Permian and the National Gas Companies. Towards the end of his career he was employed for Triad. In addition to his Father he is preceded in death by a brother Charles Holley. Along with his mother he is survived by 2 Sisters Marsha Moore of Macksburg and Norma Shull of Texas; 2 Nephews Ricky Moore of Macksburg and Bobby Joe Shull of Texas; Great Nephew Cole Moore and Great Niece Caeli Moore; Special Friends Chris and David Knox of Parkersburg, WV. He is also survived by several friends. Friends will be received Monday, May 21st, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Pickenpaugh Officiating. Burial will follow in Lund Cemetery in Macksburg.
