Biography His Legacy.... Charles E. Stewart, age 60, of Dexter City, OH passed away Thursday afternoon (May 24, 2007) at his home. He was born February 9, 1947 in Olive Green, OH a son of the late Stanley W. & Belva L. Foster Stewart.
Charles served as Mayor of Dexter City from 1987 through 1997. He was a member of the former Noble County Jaycees, Dexter City United Methodist Church where he also served as a Lay Leader. He was also on the Board of the Noble County Health Department. He retired from the Dana Corporation after 35 years of service. Charles was also an avid fan of Ohio State athletics and the Ohio State Band.
His Family... Surviving are his wife Teresa K. Morgenstern Stewart of the home, whom he married June 15, 1974; Son Kenneth R. Stewart of Caldwell; Daughter Kendra A. Stewart of Dexter City, OH; Sister Donna (Clell) Randolph of Caldwell; 2 Brothers Warner (Freda) Stewart of Lewis Center, OH and Ruben (Faye) Stewart of Roseville, OH. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a Sister Erlene Ball, 5 Brothers Clifton, Myron, Lester, Glen and Byrl Stewart.
 
His Farewell Service... Friends will be received Monday (May 28, 2007) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Ogg Officiating. Burial will follow in Dexter City Cemetery in Dexter City.
